I used to do it all the time with Memphis Car Audio 12's and less frequent with Kickers (they are a little deeper). When you cut your holes out for the speaker, you have to go down a bit from center. It takes a little time the first go around but it can be done. Once, I took a router and a bit and routered out a small amount on the back wall of the box... not through the box mind you, just took out a little from the thickness right where the magnet would sit. It's not a standard practice but it could work in a pinch. It's going to depend on what sub you go with. A sealed box is going to be the way to go as vented enclosures take more space. I have a lot of designs for these trucks already. If you email me at fosgate3@yahoo.com, I can see what I can come up with. All Answers Answer 1 Good luck getting 12's in a standard cab. Try a company that makes a "stealth box" from JL, MTX or Q-logic. C1500s dont have enough space behind the seat for most 12s. Make sure you have the depth and volume needed. 2007-01-31 22:14:24 Answer 2 Here are some tips http://spkrbox1.spaces.live.com 2007-02-01 06:13:22 Answer 3 I hope you are a small dude cause the seat is gonna be pushed up to granny standards unless you do a cab-thru. Here is a good site for boxes for trucks. www.supercrewsound.com 2007-02-01 22:46:07 Answer 4 You can put 12's behind the seat and ride somewhat reasonably well if you get a speaker that takes a small box and is not too deep.
